Thomas J Price: A Place Beyond
This special edition takes its starting point from Thomas J Price’s 9ft figurative sculpture of the same title, first unveiled at Hauser & Wirth Downtown LA in 2023 and derived from an open call in the city.
Re-created at this more intimate scale, Price transforms our reading of the fictional figure at one glance and highlights our relationship with the art object, reinforcing central concepts within his practice in relation to materiality, provenance, and representation. All sales from the edition will support a collaborative commission with V&A East, two free cultural destinations – V&A East Storehouse and Museum – opening in east London in 2025.

For his first exhibition at our New York, 18th Street location, Taylor moves into a new technical realm, debuting a series of limited-edition etchings and hand-painted monoprints, all produced in collaboration with Paulson Fontaine Press in Berkeley CA. Spanning from the humorous to the contemplative, this intimate collection of new works both distills and expands Taylor’s practice.
