Paul-Armand Gette: Nymphaeum

An unclassifiable artist, Paul-Armand Gette blurs the boundaries between natural science, literature, poetry, mythology, and art history in his singular body of work. His artistic output is fed by his obsession with landscape, nature, and the study of the model, which then finds its expression in the feminine body and its possible metamorphoses—notably, the figure of the nymph. Edited by Hans Ulrich Obrist and presented trilingually in English, French and German, 'Nymphaeum' presents Gette’s hedonistic, pagan world of goddesses and their nymphs.
